快餐店英語Is it for here or to go到底是什麼意思啊？

對於長期處於“非英語語言環境”的我們，“學”如此，“用”也如此，如何保持英語的“活”性，如何在“非英語語言環境”下自己的英語“還會說”，“還會用”是必須考慮的根本性問題。

因此，訓練“見英語說英語”的習慣和能力就是出路之一。

比如，我們看到下面出現在快餐店裡的英語：

A。Is that for here or to go？

B。 It‘s for here/Here。

B。It’s to go/To go， please。

你認為這麼簡單的英語“看懂了”。

那麼，你是怎麼“看懂”的呢？

用中文啊！

如果是“用英語啊”，你又“用”了哪些英語？“說”出來聽聽。

估計見到英語Is that for here or to go“能說”英語的不多。

你看我是怎樣見英語Is that for here or to go時，“說”英語的：

1。Okay。I got you。If an employee in a fast food restaurant says： Is that for here or to go，he just wants to know whether you‘re eating in the restaurant （here） or taking it somewhere else outside the restaurant （to go） 。

2。If you say For here， he’ll give you a tray （會主動使用這個英語詞嗎？我不告訴你中文） to put your food on。

3。If you say To go，he‘ll put your food in a bag to go with。

你可以“不知道”Is that for here or to go的中文，但是，能說出這樣的英語，你一定不需要中文就“知道”它的（英語）意思了。

這就是非英語語言環境下我們學英語必須練就的英語語言能力。有了這樣的英語能力，有沒有英語語言環境已經不重要了。

我上面“說”的英語不是什麼“標準答案”，你也可以有自己的英語表達：

4。Okay。I got you。Is that for here or to go means If you eat it here （in the house），I’ll put your food in a tray。If you eat it somewhere else outside the house，I‘ll give you a bag to hold your food。

學英語，記住“原話”Is that for here or to go已經不容易，再要求你記住和會說它的英語意思就更加難上加難。

這才是我們掌握英語最大的挑戰。

當然，如果你是有學和說的英語語言環境，則完全可以不必須這麼“學”，直接記它的中文意思，然後在語言環境中“用”就是了。不過這是另外一碼事。此處按下不表。

最後，以我所在的美國Georgia St。為例，店員說Is it for here or to go是有另外一層含義的：在店內吃，要加上sales tax（銷售稅），出去吃，不加。
